Imagine you are filling standard 6 by 4 trailers. How many would you fill with your rubbish? Each level loaded trailer is about 1 cubic metre. 4 trailer loads would be 4 cubic metres.
A cubic metre is a measure of volume that is like a box that is 1 meter tall, by 1metre wide and 1 metre deep. How many of these boxes woul you fill? That is how many cubic metres you bin needs to be.
More familiar with the volume another item like a wheelie bin or a moving box. Same thing how many of them would you fill. Take number and then multiply by the volume of the container.

Some people have maths brains and are comfortable doing some mathematics to calculate the approximate volume of the waste using simple formulas.

For example, a pile of rubbish is a little bit like an upside-down cone, so you can use the formula for calculating the volume of a cone to work out what volume of waste you have.
If you are digging out soil or dirt then you can calculate the volume of the waste by working out the volume of the material being dug up and multiplying it by an expansion factor.
If you have a pile og green waste that will get compacted when you put it in a bin you can calculate what volume bin you will need by treating the pile like a cone and then multiplying it by a compaction factor.

2m³ Skip Bin

The baby of the skip bin hire range is the 2m³ Skip Bin. The dimensions of the bin are 1.6m long by 0.9m tall and 1.5m wide. This skip bin has no door and you have to load rubbish into the bin by lifting over the rim of the bin and dropping it in.

A 2m³ skip bin is ideal for small clean-ups where you might have the equivalent of two standard trailer loads of rubbish to get rid of in the skip bin.
3m³ Skip Bin with drop down door / ramp

The 3m³ Skip Bin is the upstart of our family os skips. While this is only a relatively small bin it has aspirations for bigger things as it has a drop down door and becomes a ramp when opened.

The 3m³ Skip Bin is great for those heavy jobs where you need to wheel barrow the bricks, concrete and or soil into the bin. The door also means it is a little easier to carry bulky items into the bin rather than having to lift them over the side of the bin.

The 4m³ Skip Bin is the middle child of the bin family. Like all our bigger bins the 4m³ Skip Bin has a drop down door that doubles up as a ramp.

The addional volume of this skip makes it an ideal size for people looking to move house who hhave furniture and other bulky items that they want to loose o the way to their new home.

The Ramp is also handy for those wheel barrow jobs where maybe you need to remove soil or sand from around the yard for landscaping activities or cleaning up after a renovation project.
6m³ Skip Bin

The 6m³ Skip Bin is the mother of all skips.com.au bins. Big in volume with a drop down door for easy loading. You will be please yoou had a door to walk materials into the bin with a skip of this siize.

As before the easy access door makes the skip bin good for jobs where you have a lot of buky items to be caarried into the bin. So whether it is for moving day and getting rid of unwanted furniture of cleaning out a deceased estate this is a good bin.
